Assignment:
The teacher leads the exercises according to the instructions. The teacher should familiarise themself with the exercises in advance. The order of the exercises can be changed. Everyone should take part in the exercises.
- Children get to be part of different groups
Students form a circle and take the student next to them by the hand. Students raise their arms and stand on their toes, stretching their whole body. - Children get to befriend other students
Students mirror the movements of the person on their right in the circle: one performs slow movements, while the other copies the movements as a mirror image. - Children get to express their opinions
Staying in the circle, students take turns to step inside the circle and say aloud one thing they like and perform a movement of their choice. If the other students in the circle like the same thing, they copy the movement. - Children get to participate
The student to the left of the teacher performs a movement, which the others copy. This is repeated until everyone has performed a movement of their choice. - Children get to play
Students walk around the room and when the teacher calls out the name of an animal, they move as the animal would (e.g. “rabbit!”, “bear!”, “bird!”). - Children get noticed
Students walk around the room and wave at or greet other students cheerfully. - Children get to express themselves
Students can choose how they want to move: they can dance, do exercises or perform stretches etc. – anything goes!
